Formerly known as Eccleshall Brewery, Slater’s Ales is a very successful family run brewery which was established in March 1995 by Ged and Andrew Slater at its original premises behind the George Hotel in Eccleshall.
In an effort to meet increasing demand from customers for their award winning beers the brewery moved to new state of the art premises in 2006 enabling them to produce some of the finest beers in the UK today. Production capacity has since tripled.
The move to their current brewing plant in St Albans Road Stafford has enabled them to improve both consistency and quality in their beers as well as produce enough beer to cope with the increasing demand from new customers.
The brewery supplies more than 1,100 outlets and owns its own pub, the George at Eccleshall.
Beers brewed include:
Why Knott (3.6%) Original (4%)
Top Totty (4%) Queen Bee (4.2%) Premium (4.4%)
Seasonal beers are brewed bi-annually with the occasional production of Supreme (4.7%) and Monkey Magic Mild (3.4%).
Over recent years Slater’s Ales have won numerous local and national awards for its beers from both SIBA and CAMRA including:
- ” West Midlands Beer of the Year three times winner with Bitter and Supreme
- ” Won Silver and Bronze with Bitter.
- ” Supreme has also won Bronze in Best Bitter Category twice at GBBF.
- ” SIBA Midlands 2006 they won Gold for Top Totty in the Specialty Beer Category and Bronze overall.
